How a fitting works
Four steps, and you only have to come in twice.
Questions and answers
i.
10 minutes
Bring it in
Pop in during opening hours or book a slot. Bring the shoes you’ll wear and anything that goes underneath.
ii.
15 minutes
We pin it on you
Nell or Joe pins and chalks the garment while you’re wearing it, and writes up a ticket with the price.
iii.
3 to 7 days
We sew it upstairs
Everything is done in our own workroom, never sent out. We’ll ring if anything needs a second look.
iv.
On collection
Try it on and collect
Try it on in the fitting room before you pay. If it isn’t right, we’ll put it right while you wait.

Express service
Need it for Saturday? Most trouser hems, sleeves, zips and small repairs can be done in two working days for half as much again. Ask at the fitting and we’ll tell you straight away if we can.
Book an express fitting
Wedding dresses
From the first fitting to the morning of the wedding.
Bring your dress in about three months before the day. Three fittings is usual: the bodice and straps first, then the hem in your shoes, then a final try-on and pressing.
12 weeks before
First fitting in the dress, with your shoes and underwear.
6 weeks before
Second fitting to check the bodice, straps and hem.
2 weeks before
Final fitting, bustle practice and a full pressing.
